Prin of Biochem Toxicology

Concepts in toxicology will be examined at the biochemical and molecular level. An introduction to ADME will be provided !the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of xenobiotics (compounds foreign to the body, such as drugs and pollutants). Topics will include Phase I and Phase II reactions, reactive intermediates, mutagenesis/ carcinogenesis, and pharmacogenomics.† Prerequisites: CH250 and (CH203 or CH205 or CH207).
